The Mecc Alte UVR6/1-F is a factory electronic automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for Mecc Alte brushless generator alternators, single- or three-phase, at 50 or 60 Hz.
Its three sensing inputs can read one phase or average all three. That keeps voltage within ±1% from no load to full load, at power factor 1 to 0.8, and when engine speed drops up to 6%. It works on machines from 80 to 480 Vac and takes 80–160 Vac or 170–270 Vac supply, selected with a jumper. A built-in starter uses the alternator’s leftover (residual) voltage for fast, smooth self-excitation, even when the engine ramps up quickly.
Two adjustable protections guard the exciter:
- Overload protection: has a delay, so short overloads for motor starting are allowed.
- Low-speed protection: reduces voltage when engine speed drops.
Three LEDs show status at a glance. They can be repeated on a control panel with the optional SPD96/A remote signaller. The circuit is sealed in resin against vibration and moisture, and a replaceable fuse protects the alternator if the regulator fails.
