Original | Mecc Alte AVR DSR | Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator | 4505005560
For Mecc Alte ECO/ECP Series 3–38 Brushless Alternators, 50/60 Hz
- Standard DSR (grey case) for Mecc Alte series 3–38. ECO40–46 alternators need the DSR/A instead.
- ±1% DIGITAL REGULATION: Holds voltage from no load to full load at any power factor. Recovers within ±3% in under 300 ms; start-up overshoot is under 5%.
- FLEXIBLE INPUTS: Supply 40–270 Vac from an auxiliary winding, the main output or a PMG. Sensing 70–140 or 140–280 Vac. Works from 12 to 72 Hz.
- FULL PROTECTION + ALARM LOG: Over/undervoltage, short circuit, overexcitation, underspeed, overspeed and loss of excitation. Keeps an alarm history and has an alarm output for a panel lamp or controller.
- PROGRAMMABLE: VOLT, STAB, AMP and Hz trimmers, a 50/60 Hz jumper, and remote voltage adjust. Full setup by PC through the USB2DxR module (sold separately).

The Mecc Alte DSR is a fully digital automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for Mecc Alte brushless alternators, series 3 through 38 (ECP and ECO lines). It holds output voltage within ±1% from no load to full load at any power factor, and recovers from sudden load changes to within ±3% in under 300 ms.
It runs on 40–270 Vac from an auxiliary winding, the main output or a PMG. It senses 70–140 Vac or 140–280 Vac, using true RMS or average readings, from 12 to 72 Hz. The excitation output delivers 5 A continuous and 12 A peak to support motor starting and short circuits.
Eight built-in protections cover overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, overexcitation, underspeed, overspeed, loss of excitation and memory errors. The regulator logs each alarm with how many times it happened and how long it lasted. An alarm output can drive a panel lamp or a controller input.
Technicians can set it up with the familiar VOLT, STAB, AMP and Hz trimmers. They can also connect a PC through the USB2DxR module (sold separately) to read live values, change settings and download the alarm report. It mounts inside the alternator terminal box with two M4 screws.
