Original | Mecc Alte AVR SR7/2-G | Electronic Voltage Regulator | 391600126
AVR for Mecc Alte Brushless Generator Alternators 50/60 Hz
- MECC ALTE: Direct replacement for the SR7 AVR on Mecc Alte brushless alternators.
- WIDE INPUT: Takes 80–270 Vac supply and 80–350 Vac single-phase sensing.
- 50 OR 60 HZ: Set with a jumper (bridge terminals 5A–6 for 60 Hz).
- BUILT-IN PROTECTION: Low-frequency protection lowers voltage when engine speed drops. Delayed overexcitation protection waits 15–20 s, so motors can still start.
- FIELD-ADJUSTABLE: VOLT, STAB, Hz and AMP trimmers, plus terminals for an optional 100 kΩ remote pot (±5%). Has a replaceable 5 A fuse and self-excites from residual voltage.

The Mecc Alte SR7/2-G is the factory analog automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for Mecc Alte brushless generator alternators. It keeps output voltage steady by comparing it to a stable internal reference and driving the exciter field through a PWM-controlled SCR stage.
It accepts 80–270 Vac supply, from an auxiliary winding or the main output, and 80–350 Vac single-phase sensing. A simple jumper sets it for 50 or 60 Hz. Two protections guard the machine:
- Low-frequency protection: lowers voltage when speed drops more than about 10%, for example during engine warm-up.
- Overexcitation protection: limits field current, with a delay that still allows short overloads for motor starting.
Four trimmers let technicians tune voltage, response and protection thresholds on site, and a replaceable fuse protects the alternator if the regulator fails.
