The R450 is an original Leroy Somer Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for brushless generators. It accepts a detection input of 80–350V AC (single-phase) and a power input of 50–270V AC at 50/60 Hz.
The R450 delivers a maximum output of 63V DC at 220V AC input, with a continuous current of 6A. Excitation winding resistance range is 10–100 ohms DC. Voltage regulation accuracy is less than ±1% with 4% motor regulation. Voltage build-up requires a minimum residual voltage of 5V AC at 25 Hz. Maximum power dissipation is 5 watts.
External voltage adjustment of ±7% is available via a 100kΩ trimmer. Under-frequency protection is adjustable in the range of 42–60 Hz. Over-excitation protection activates at 40V to maximum VCC with a delay of 0.3–20 seconds (adjustable). Internal EMI filtering is included. Operating temperature range is -30°C to +65°C.
