The R250 is an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for Leroy Somer brushless generators. It accepts a power input of 80–140V AC at 50/60 Hz, with a voltage sensing range of 85–139V AC (single-phase) and a detection voltage input of 115V AC.
The R250 delivers a maximum intermittent output of 90V DC at 6A for 10 seconds. Continuous current is 3.5A, with an intermittent rating of 7A for 10 seconds (52/105V DC). Field resistance range is 15–100 ohms. Voltage regulation accuracy is ≤±1%. Voltage build-up requires a minimum residual voltage of 5V AC at the AVR terminal.
External voltage adjustment of ±10% is available via a 2kΩ trimmer. Operating temperature range is -40°F to +140°F (-40°C to +60°C).
