The AS480 is a self-excited Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) and generic replacement for the Cummins AS480, designed for brushless generators. It accepts a sensing and power input of 100–264V AC (single-phase) at 50–60 Hz.
The AS480 delivers an output of 82V DC at 200V AC input, or 45V DC at 110V AC input. Continuous current is 5A with a transient rating of 7.5A for 10 seconds. Minimum field resistance is 15 ohms. Voltage regulation accuracy is ±1.0%.
