The ADVR-073 is a Hybrid Analog Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for brushless generator systems. It accepts a sensing input of 170–520V AC (single-phase, 2-wire), DIP switch selectable for frequency at 50/60 Hz. Power input is 100–300V AC, single-phase, 2-wire.
The ADVR-073 delivers a continuous excitation output of 63V DC at 7A, with intermittent output of 90V DC at 15A for 10 seconds. Field resistance range is 9–100 ohms. Voltage regulation accuracy is less than ±0.5% with 4% engine governing. Thermal drift is 0.03% per °C change in AVR ambient temperature. Maximum power dissipation is 8 watts.
The unit includes built-in under-frequency protection, with the knee point factory-set at 45 Hz for 50 Hz systems and 55 Hz for 60 Hz systems. Over-excitation protection is set at 78 ±5V DC at 220V AC for 5 seconds. Soft start ramp time is 3 seconds. External voltage adjustment of ±7% is available via a 1kΩ trimmer. Internal EMI filtering is included. Voltage build-up requires a minimum residual voltage of 5V AC at the AVR terminal.
