The R450 is a generic replacement Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for Leroy Somer brushless generators. Sensing voltage is jumper selectable at 95–132V AC or 190–264V AC (single-phase), at 50/60 Hz. Supply range is 150V at 50/60 Hz. Voltage detection range is up to 530V.
The R450 delivers a nominal excitation current of 6A and a maximum excitation current of 10A for 10 seconds. Voltage regulation accuracy is ±0.5%. External voltage adjustment range is ±10%.
The unit includes under-speed protection via U/f function (1 U/f or 2 U/f selectable), with auto-adaptive LAM + 2 U/f functionality. Operating temperature range is -30°C to +65°C.
