The ADVR-16 is a Hybrid Analog Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) designed for brushless generator systems. It accepts a sensing input of 170–510V AC (single-phase, 2-wire), DIP switch selectable at 50/60 Hz. Power input accepts 60–300V AC, single-phase, 2-wire.

The ADVR-16 delivers a maximum output of 90V DC at 240V AC input, with a continuous current of 16A. Minimum field resistance is 5 ohms. Voltage regulation accuracy is less than ±0.5% with 4% engine governing. Thermal drift is 0.03% per °C change in AVR ambient. Maximum power dissipation is 10 watts.

The unit includes over-excitation protection set at 95% of maximum DC voltage for 20 seconds, and under-frequency protection with the knee point set at 55 Hz for 60 Hz systems and 45 Hz for 50 Hz systems (adjustable). External voltage adjustment of ±5% is available via a 2kΩ trimmer. Current compensation supports 1A or 5A CT input (adjustable). Analog voltage input accepts up to ±5V DC. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C.
