The ADVR-12 is a Hybrid Analog Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) designed for brushless generator systems. It accepts single-phase or three-phase sensing input of 220/440V AC at 50/60 Hz, switch selectable (SW5). Power input accepts 100–300V AC at 40–500 Hz.
The ADVR-12 delivers an output of 63V DC at 110V AC input or 125V DC at 220V AC input, with a continuous current of 12A DC and a maximum intermittent current of 25A DC for 10 seconds. Excitation resistance minimum is 10 ohms. Voltage regulation accuracy is less than ±0.5% with 4% engine governing. Response time is less than 1 cycle.
The unit includes over-excitation protection set at 60% of input voltage, and under-frequency protection with the knee point preset at 47 Hz for 50 Hz systems and 57 Hz for 60 Hz systems (SW4 selectable). External voltage adjustment is available via a 10kΩ trimmer. Current compensation supports 1 or 5A CT input. Thermal drift is 0.03% per °C change in AVR ambient. Maximum power dissipation is 12 watts.
