ESD5221 | Speed Controls

The GAC ESD5221, part of the ESD5200 Series, is an all-electronic speed control unit designed to control engine speed with fast and precise response to transient load changes. This closed-loop control, when connected to a proportional electric actuator and supplied with a magnetic speed sensor signal, controls a wide variety of engines in an isochronous or droop mode. It is hard-potted to withstand the engine environment, and features a speed anticipation circuit, adjustable PID functions, reverse voltage protection, and an overspeed contact. It operates on multi-V DC and includes an overspeed switch with LED indication, selectable droop operation, adjustable idle current, an auxiliary accessory input, and a single-element speed switch for overspeed protection.
